Goshen College announces Fall 2010-11 Dean's List
Local students recognized for excellence in academic achievement
GOSHEN, Ind. -- Goshen College recently recognized 211 students, including 12 local students, for excellence in academics, on the 2010-11 fall semester Dean's List.
Hannah Elisabeth Canaviri, daughter of Ponciano and Gina Canaviri of Harleysville, is a senior studying history. She is a 2008 graduate of Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center and attends Towamencin Mennonite Church.
Hannah R. Clemmer, daughter of Michael Clemmer of Harleysville, is a sophomore studying psychology. She is a 2009 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Towamencin Mennonite Church.
Nathaniel Rush Day, son of Jeffrey Day and Eunice Rush-Day of Perkasie, is a senior studying English. He is a 2008 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Perkasie Mennonite Church.
Ingrid Suzanne Derstine, daughter of D. Daryl Derstine and Julie Miller Derstine of Blooming Glen, is a 2007 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Blooming Glen Mennonite Church.
Lauren E. Derstine, daughter of John and Sheryl Derstine of Blooming Glen, is a senior studying American Sign Language. She is a 2007 graduate Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Blooming Glen Mennonite Church.
Jessica Rae Gotwals, daughter of R. Brent and Julia Gotwals of Telford, is a junior studying nursing. She is a 2009 graduate of Souderton Area High School and attends Blooming Glen Mennonite Church.
Emily Rose Graber, daughter of L. Daniel and Rose Graber of Regina, Saskatchewan, is a senior studying English and peace, justice and conflict studies. She is a 2007 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Methacton Mennonite Church.
Marissa K. Kauffman, daughter of Tom and Donna Kauffman of Harleysville, is a junior studying nursing. She is a 2008 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Franconia Mennonite Church.
Madeleine Johnson Ruth, daughter of Elizabeth Johnson and Philip Ruth of Harleysville, is a freshman studying psychology. She is a 2010 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Salford Mennonite Church.
Elizabeth Ruth Speigle, daughter of Wayne and Joanne Speigle of Telford, is a senior studying sociology. She is a 2007 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Blooming Glen Mennonite Church.
Rebecca Lee Weaver, daughter of Craig and Judy Weaver of Harleysville, is a junior studying psychology. She is a 2008 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Franconia Mennonite Church.
Justin Nicholas Yoder, son of Jerold and Beth Yoder of Perkasie, is a junior studying music. He is a 2009 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School and attends Salford Mennonite Church.
The Dean's List includes students earning at least a 3.75 GPA, while completing at least 12 hours of course work for a letter grade. Only grades from the designated semester are included in the Dean's List selection process.Students earning at least a 3.6 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in Goshen College Division of Adult and External Studies (DAES) also are included in the list -- a significant achievement since most DAES students are working adults taking highly personalized night classes.
