The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced the names of approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 57^th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.  North Penn High School  recognizes the following ten students who were named as semifinalists in the 2011-2012 National Merit Scholarship Competition (NMSC):

These students were selected based on the ability to show exceptional academic talent and potential for success in rigorous college studies. Approximately 1.5 million juniors in more than 22,000 high schools across the country entered the 2011-2012 National Merit Scholarship Program.

The National Merit Scholarship Award recipients will be honored at a breakfast on Thursday, Oct.  27 at 7:30 a.m. in the North Penn High School senior cafeteria.
