Area students awarded scholarships sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ambler
The Rotary Club of
Ambler recently presented the 2012 Shoemaker Scholarships.
The winners are:
Jennifer Buono |
Jennifer Buono from
Wissahickon High School who will be attending Villanova University.
Jacqui Gallagher from
Upper Dublin High School who will be attending Gywnedd Mercy College.
Matthew Schulman from
Wissahickon High School who will be attending the University of Pennsylvania.
Joshua Wan from Upper
Dublin who will be attending Dartmouth College.

The awards ($7,000 each)
are funded through the John and Helen Shoemaker Trust (John Shoemaker was an
Ambler Rotarian for many years) and given to four outstanding students, two
from Upper Dublin High School and two from Wissahickon High School, who best
exemplify the Rotary motto "Service Above Self."
The awards presentations
was held ) during the club’s annual leadership changeover dinner meeting for
new officers and board of directors at the William Penn Inn.
