Area students participate in engineering design conference
The following students participated in the 15th annual Richard J. Fasenmyer Engineering Design Conference, held at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.
Jason Bobsein, from Sellersville, presented "Induction Barrel Heating," a group research project. Bobsein graduated this spring with a B.S. in plastics engineering technology and worked with Jonathan Meckley, associate professor of engineering.
Keith Estelle, from Blue Bell, presented "BAH Source Code Assessment Project," a group research project. Estelle graduated this spring with a B.S. in software engineering and worked with Dr. Simon Fan, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering.
The conference is hosted by the college's School of Engineering, which requires a yearlong, capstone applied design experience for each of its degree programs. In total, 170 engineering students presented the results of their senior design projects to professors, fellow students and industry representatives.
