Area students inducted into Phi Kappa Phi
More than 130 Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania undergraduates and nine graduate students were recently inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, an honor society which recognizes and promotes academic excellence in all fields of higher education.
Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation and requires nominations and approval by a chapter. Members are elected from the top 5 percent of last-term juniors and the top 10 percent of seniors, along with outstanding graduate students.

Montgomery County: Samantha B. Howe, Blue Bell, spring 2010 graduate, speech language pathology; Dana C. Jorna, Norristown, spring 2010 graduate, French and history; Kylie Matthews, Gilbertsville, senior, nursing; Michelle Powis, Telford, senior, special education /elementary education; Jessica Sawchuk, Royersford, spring 2010 graduate, speech pathology; and Spencer Turkot, Dresher, spring 2010 graduate, business.
