Area student inducted into National Order of Omega

Bryn Whitmire of Lederach was inducted into the Susquehanna University chapter of The National Order of Omega.
The Order of Omega is a national Greek honor society founded to recognize fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in Greek activities, to encourage them to continue along this line and to inspire others to strive for similar recognition; to bring together members of the faculty, alumni, and student members of the institution’s fraternities and sororities on a basis of mutual interest, understanding and helpfulness; and to help create an atmosphere where ideas and issues can be discussed openly across Greek lines.
To be eligible for membership, a student must be a junior or senior member of a social Greek organization, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) equal to or higher than the all-Greek GPA, and be an active participant in their own chapter, Greek life and campus life. Susquehanna’s Epsilon Gamma chapter was chartered in 1983.
Whitmire, a rising senior, is a 2007 graduate of Souderton High School and the daughter of Ken and Judi Whitmire.
