On Nov. 13, the Clearwater Christian College men's soccer team won its second consecutive national championship. The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division II champions defeated Ohio Christian University 2-0 in the final game.
In addition to the championship title, several students were named with All-Tournament and All-American awards. The following local students were included in the national title:
Lucas Hollenbach from Sellersville, was a member of the 2010 NCCAA National Championship team. Lucas was also named 2nd Team All-Region. Lucas is a 2007 graduate from Faith Christian Academy in Sellersville, and the son of Russell and Becky Hollenbach of Sellersville.
Dexter Hollenbach from Sellersville, was a member of the 2010 NCCAA National Championship team. Dexter is a 2007 graduate from Faith Christian Academy in Sellersville, PA and the son of Russell Becky Hollenbach of Sellersville.
Walter Scharf from Quakertown, was a member of the 2010 NCCAA National Championship team. Walter is a 2007 graduate from Faith Christian Academy in Sellersville, and the son of Walt and Susan Scharf of Quakertown.
Garrett Hollenbach from Sellersville,was a member of the 2010 NCCAA National Championship team. Garrett is a 2010 graduate from Faith Christian Academy in Sellersville and the son of Russell and Becky Hollenbach of Sellersville.
