Oak Park Elementary robotics team wins trophy
The Oak Park Elementary School’s robotics team won the “Teamwork Trophy” award this year at the recent “Body Forward — Tune Up in PA” Lego Robotics competition at Lansdale Catholic recently.
The Oak Park Elementary School team was composed of fourth, fifth and sixth grade students who competed with 48 teams of middle school-aged students from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and South Carolina. Oak Park Elementary was the only North Penn school in the competition.
Third-grade teacher Donna Grabner of Oak Park Elementary School and fourth-grade teacher Brynn Grabner of Inglewood Elementary School were the team leaders.
The Oak Park Robotics Club is supported by North Penn Educational Foundation grants and the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Grant sponsored by Joe Spaniel’s Exxon station in Hatfield.
