The Kutztown University women's cross country team -- The Golden Bears – recently finished second out of 26 teams at the NCAA Atlantic Regional championships , earning them a return trip to the NCAA Division II Championships in Louisville, KY on Dec. 4. KU also finished second at last year's regional's, along with finishing a program-high 14th at nationals.

Among those running for KU was freshman Carolyn Fergus who placed 90th (25:22.7) Fergus is a 2010 North Penn graduate. Fergus is is majoring in Secondary English Education.
