Area students hit the stage
Three area students were among Lock Haven University dance students participating in a recent recital the school. The students performed for full houses on the evenings of November 19 and 20 and at a November 20 matinee:
Ashley Krueger of Souderton, a History major, Dancer.
Tiffany Fellenz of Quakertown, an Accounting major, Dancer.
Rachael Radomski of Hatfield, a Communication Media major, Dancer.
Under the leadership of Associate professor of Dance Jayme Host, the students performed a variety of dance styles, including ballet, tap, and modern techniques. One number that was a hit with the audience was "Lovers of Light," in which the dancers performed a dance similar to the famed "Riverdance." In the piece entitled "Family," the audience heard the dancers speaking about the significance of family while they expressed the meaning of their remarks through dance. "Encounters" expressed through dance the depth and complexity of romantic relationships. In all, the dancers performed thirteen dances. All of the dances were choreographed by Jayme Host and her students.
