Local woman presents research project
Kristin Kajari, a senior biology major, is a daughter of Joseph and Carin Kajari and a graduate of North Penn High School, was one of 15 Westminster College senior biology and molecular biology majors that recently presened their capstone research projects at the college.
Her project, “The Role of Sleep Disturbance and Its Relation to Neurodegenerative Disorders in Fruit Flies (Drosophila melanogaste),” is advised by Dr. Lesley Ashmore, Westminster visiting assistant professor of biology.
The capstone experience permits opportunity for structured reflection on the value of education in and beyond the major and provides an opportunity to strengthen communication and problem-solving skills.
