These NPHS students are tops in math

Five NPHS seniors traveled to New York City to present their paper submitted in the Moody’s Mega Math Challenge 2013 Applied Mathematics Competition for high school students.
Of the 1,054 papers submitted to the Moody’s Mega Math Challenge 2013, only six schools were chosen to present their papers in NYC Monday, April 29. 
The NPHS  team presented their report titled “Advice to the EPA for National Recycling Regulations: A Study of National Plastic Use Projected for the Next Decade and a Comparative Analysis of Three Methods of Recycling for Three Cities.”
Team members included: Priya Kikani, Scott Landes, Patrick Nicodemus, Julianna Supplee and Francis Walsh who placed third in the competition. 
They will be sharing the Cum Laude Team Prize of $10,000. In addition to the monetary award, each of these Moody's Mega Math Challenge winners has been invited to submit applications for summer internships with Moody's Corporation.

NPHS Students Receive High Honors at Delaware Valley Science Fair

The following North Penn High School students who recently participated in the tri-state Delaware Valley Science Fair on April 6-8, as part of the STARS (Science, Technology and Research) club.
NPHS senior Jason Mineweaser received an Honorable Mention in Senior Engineering for his presentation of Implementing Ag+ Into Polyvinyl Nanofibers for Antibacterial Purposes.
NPHS Sophomore Ishaan Nerurkar placed second in sophomore mathematics for Proof of Infinite Solutions for Pell’s Equation.
The North Penn High School STARS is a group of students who develop, research and run experiments on topics in various science disciplines. Students work independently of the student curriculum. Research projects are presented at local, regional and international.

North Penn High School Music Students Selected to Perform at PMEA Events

The North Penn School District would like to congratulate the following North Penn High School students for their selection to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District, Regional and All-State Band.The following students performed with the District Band on Feb.11-13:

The following students performed with the Regional Band on March 25-27:

The following students will perform with the All-State Band on April 21-24:
Chandler Nadig Lauren Everett Paul Feldman David Dalton

In addition, the North Penn School District would like to announce that the North Penn Wind Ensemble has been selected to perform in the PMEA State Convention in Pittsburgh on Friday, April 23 at the Lawrence Convention Center. More than 140 schools applied for this honor.
